In 2014,Indian National Congress hit a new low-44 Member of Lok Sabha and today in 2017 it rules only 5 states with strong chances of losing another one in December. Many would feel that with shrinking base and weak leadership ,Congress would go down further and BJP upwards. Indian politics is not purely based on logic. Public perception of a party's arrogance, unkept promises and policy failures decide who will go up or come down.
